Second Harvest Food Bank
Thanks to the Calcasieu Parish Office of Human Services support, residents will be able to shop
at the Second Harvest Food Bank. A truck full of produce will arrive at 10am and remain on site
until noon. Fresh produce can be purchased at a reduced cost. Check out thier website for

Recreation Department Activity Stations
Four-Ball 75th Tournament
Register for the 75th Anniversary Four-Ball Tournament and receive a commemorative golf ball with the anniversary logo, along with a goody bag of items! Fitness on the Field
Our amazing instructors will be holding FREE fitness classes on Collins Field! You can try one class, or try them all! Yoga, Zumba, and Boot Camp! No pre-signup required. City of Sulphur Fire and Police Departments
Local Firefighters and Police will be on hand with information for all ages on fire prevention and safety! The departments are also looking for new recruits and this is the perfect time to discuss job opportunities!
Sporting Games
Throughout the park, stations will be set up with lots of sporting action!
Football, speed throws, tennis, basketball under the pavillion, sandcourt volleyball, and more! Ward 4 Recreation District 2 residents who are interested in signing up kids for sports can speak to a staff member about our online sports registration system, SPAR Connect (SPARC).

Henning Cultural Center/Brimstone Museum
The History of Sulphur is what the Henning Cultural Center and the Brimstone Museum Society brings
to residents and visitors.
Kids ages 5-12 can paint a wooden cutout of Herman the Squirrel. Herman is the name given to all squirrels that can be found running throughout Frasch Park and Golf Course. Named after Herman Frasch.
We have 275 squirrels, so get the kids there early so they can bring home a keepsake! Painting begins at 9am.
Frasch Park, Frasch Elementary school, and Frasch Hall, a building at McNeese State University, were named after him.
