Board of Commissioners
Sulphur Parks & Recreation is governed by a Board of five Commissioners who are appointed by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury. Three of the members are appointed from the three divisions of Sulphur with the other two members being appointed as at large representatives. Board members serve a rotating four year term and annually self-elect two members to serve as President & Vice-President. The Board oversees the establishment of regulations governing the parks, playgrounds and community center of the district and provides guidance to administration on the management, maintenance & operations of the facilities.
Regular monthly Board of Commissioners meetings are held at SPAR’s Recreation & Aquatic Center Multipurpose Room,933 W Parish Rd., Sulphur, Louisiana 70663 the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM. For the year beginning January 1, 2025 ending December 31, 2025 the Board is as follows:
